KAIPTC - Your IODA'2008 Venue
The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) (named after the illustrious son of Ghana, Busumuru Kofi Annan, the immediate past Secretary-General of the United Nations) will be the venue for IODA 2008.
The KAIPTC has a modern Conference facility, with 200-seater theatre (auditorium), main plenary halls, syndicate & breakout rooms – all equipped with audio-visuals, computers & high-speed internet access plus a well-furnished eatery & clubhouse available to delegates.
On-site, it has 70 rooms for delegates requiring accommodation with en-suite shower and WC, telephone facilities with personalized direct-dial numbers, well equipped gym and other outdoor games with on-site trainers.
Additional rooms will also be available at the nearby Labadi Beach Hotel and the La Palm Royal Hotel. Conference Secretariat will make arrangements for delegates, as necessary. Delegates who choose to stay at other locations must make their arrangements and notify the Secretariat
In addition to having a great layout for the convenience of conference delegates, the KAIPTC is just 200 metres from the Atlantic Ocean – with a great beach – indeed the famous La Beach is just about a kilometre away.
